Ali Wong Live

DIGS Hawaii announces comedian Ali Wong’s debut performance in Honolulu, Hawaii on Friday, December 30, 2016 at the famous Hawaii Theatre. The Asian-American stand-up comedian has won numerous awards, including SF Weekly’s Best Comedian and SF Bay Guardian’s Best of the Bay. She was named as among the “Comics to Watch” by both Comedy Central and Variety Magazine. Ali has also performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with Seth Meyers.
Ali’s Netflix stand-up special, Baby Cobra, premiered on Mother’s Day 2016 to rave reviews. Performing while 7 months pregnant, Ali received significant praise for her originality, relevancy, and killer jokes. Ali also recently appeared in the hit film, Trainwreck, and is a writer for ABC’s Fresh Off the Boat. This fall, Ali will co-star in a new ABC comedy, American Housewife.
Ali’s voice and sharp wit represents a current generation of young-adult Americans: multi- ethnic, educated, environmentally conscious, ambitious, spiritual, and conflicted. Through it all, Ali manages to make us laugh at the absurdity and appreciate the preciousness of modern life.
